My second day of Blogher12 started with a workout… (I know, not like me) but who can give up having a dance lesson lead by two world famous Radio City Music Hall – Rockettes? I was not the only one, there were a whole lot of us there at 7 am. Once we were all signed in, they showed us to the practice rooms where the actual Rockettes practice from 9am to 5 pm SIX days a week!
They carefully set us up in lines and showed us how to lock arms and perform high kicks and pose and kick again. We were shown how to perform the famous walk of the Wooden Soldiers from the Christmas Show – it was so cool!
All in all a very challenging, unique and fun workout! When we were all done, we had some really yummy smoothies from the folks at Caltrate and Centrum! Then, they sent us on our way with some goodies: a t-shirt, some vitamins & a very fun bag…(I know, these small things amuse me).
When I was younger, I went to see the Rockettes and was amazed by the show. The Christmas Spectacular has been preformed since 1933 with 36 spectacular dancers and a whole lot more. If you are in New York City between November 3rd & December 30, 2012 get tickets and go! You won’t regret it…because it’s REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hard to be a Rockette (if only for a few minutes)!
All the Blogher12 post are part of our #GMFamilyFun experiences which were made possible because I got a sweet ride to New York City courtesy of GM Canada. I could not have had these great opportunities without their assistance. Thanks.. A lot.
