Last weekend we were in Lakes of Wasaga have a fun time on the beach. We also made a stop in Collingwood and finally in Blue Mountain. This is a lovely area located north of Toronto on Georgian Bay. It has spectacular sunsets, good restaurants and plenty of outdoor activities. If you have never been make sure and take a trip to Bruce County. We had a great time and I wanted to share a few pictures and short Instagram videos. Enjoy!
This is a picture of Collingwood Harbour taken from Sunset Point.
This was the ‘half’ picnic table. It looked so funny to me because you only had half a bench and half the table. My daughter quickly pointed out that if you had a whole one then someone could sit in front of you and you’d miss the whole sunset… Oh… that’s the ticket…
This made me laugh because we were at Wasaga Beach and these people had a full on dance party going on…. well at least they had the equipment: two turntables, two big speakers, tuner and their own generator to keep everything going. It was too funny.
This Instagram post gives you a better idea where the beach was and the beautiful sunset.
Finally, you get to see the most beautiful flower arrangements that we found at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood. What a wonderful place. You really need to go.

What beautiful sunsets! I’ve been to Collingwood a few times. When we were kids my mom would take us to The Candy Factory in Collingwood. Not sure if it’s still there though. Good memories!
I don’t remember seeing The Candy Factory but we were there in the evening so not walking around to see what there was. It was all rolled up for the evening.
Wow, what a breathtaking view! I hope I get to visit that area one day!
Looks beautiful. Sunsets are wonderful, and I love the bench idea. Never seen one of those before
That’s really cool about the half picnic table. What a great concept. I bet a lot of people enjoy watching the sunsets there without having someone sitting in front of them.
I’ve never been but it looks beautiful!
Great pictures. It looks like you all had a great trip.
Looks like such a beautiful place. And sounds like you had a great adventure together!
Beautiful pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun. My family and I just spent 3 days at Blue Mountain at the end of July. We had so much fun. Perfect place for families.
Ontario would be on my bucket list! I’d love to take the family
Looks like a great trip! And now I want a half picnic table! LOL
Looks like you had a great visit. Sadly we have never been to Ontario, and would love to take the kids especially considering it is only 7 hours away. Thank you for sharing.

Looks like you had a really nice visit. The sunset is wonderful!
So breathtaking! I Love the way it looks pink because of the sun setting. Beautiful beach!
Oh its sounds beautiful! I haven’t been to a lake in awhile! I think it would be fun to take my boys!!
That is a gorgeous sunset! It sounds like a lovely trip.
When you said a full out dance party, I laughed. If they had a generator even, that really was going all out! 🙂
Gorgeous location! That would be the best place for a romantic meal or to share a dessert with a loved one.
I never heard of this area. I’m going to have to pass through next time I’m in the Toronto area!
I am glad you had a wonderful time. From the pictures you can tell you did. The pictures are amazing I love the sunset picture.
Looks like a gorgeous place! I’ve only been to Ontario a few times but I’d love to visit again. I should make a list of places to go if we make it there… 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
I have never seen a half picnic table before. That’s pretty neat. Sounds like a great place to visit.
This looks like a very beautiful place to see! I haven’t been to Canada YET but am trying to plan a trip there very soon. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I’ve never seen a half picnic bench before, I probably would like the cooler weather
I love Canada. Eventhough I haven’t been there yet but I know that I would love to go there someday. And the sunset is soooo stunning and awesome. It was indeed a great travel experience.
Yay for traveling! I love the sun pictures too! So awesome!
Your daughter is so smart on her explanation of the half picnic table. The sunset was just a must view here.
What gorgeous photos. Looks like heaven!
I love the half picnic table, and your daughter’s ingenious reply as to why they were there. I can’t believe how pretty the flower arrangement is.

That’s a beautiful sunset. There’s something so calming about taking the time to sit down and watch one. And the bit about your half picnic table was funny.
