“I want to get organized”…. this is what I often hear at this time of year.  Just in time to start the New Year right, I wanted to share with you a fantastic organizing product for your home office.  I recently received from STAPLES Canada an assortment of items from an absolutely fabulous product line: Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery available exclusively at STAPLES Canada.

I was first introduced to the line at Blogher12 in New York City this summer. It was all part of my wonderful #GMFamilyFun trip.
At the conference Martha Stewart was one of a powerhouse keynote speakers.  She was just as you imagine: funny, commanding and always the promoter.  She was there to feature her brand new Martha Stewart Home Office by Avery exclusively at Staples.  The Staples people set up an entire office so you could clearly see how comprehensive the line is.  It has everything from file folders to labels to desk accessories.  She has also added a line of desks (that will have to be a new post for early next year).

I got a close up look at the MSHO line and I wanted to share this with you. I have also posted a Google+ album where I have place pictures of my shopping excursion to STAPLES, the goodies from my gift basket as well as my Blogher12 trip (that’s me pictured above at the MSHO booth in NYC).

There is a huge line of labels for the kitchen.  They come in many different shapes and colours: there are spice, jar, canister/container, chalkboard, file folder, envelope, colour-coded and metallic.  Every type of label that you need (want, must have) is available in the MSHO line.  Seems only fitting since Martha Stewart paired up with Avery Labels to make this happen.

I often use Avery Labels with clients because $DollarStore$ labels just don’t cut the mustard.  Don’t waste your money on cheap labels when you can get good quality and very stylish labels.

I have to say that the chalkboard labels have to be one of my favourites.  They are removable, erasable and come in jet black so they really stand out! You can read a full review here.

The other products that I really like are the Stack+Fit™ desk accessories. These come in a variety of colours: white, brown and pale green (Shagreen is what Martha’s people call it).  The line is simple but classic. It has a pencil cup holder, boxes, stackable filing holder with a drawer, mail/file folder holder and a catch all tray. All finished in a textured yet subtle print, they are seamless and very well made. My only concern is that the stackable shelves don’t lock together so they can come apart easily.

Also included in this line are letter sized boxes with covers.  These stack nicely on a shelf and would hold an entire ream of paper. Two of my favourite examples are from the Martha Stewart website (and my Pinterest board):

The next line that I wanted to review was the binders, file folders & tabs.  I love, love, love the binders in this line.  They come in both a textured cover (to match the desk accessories – of course) or a smooth vinyl cover.  They have also introduced a vibrant red into the mix. There are two sized a standard binder size and then a smaller size .  The small one is great for keeping track of projects or can also be used as a calendar/home organizing binder.  There are different page layouts that can be inserted into the binders.  The reason I like the line is that it has translucent pouches that can be inserted into the binder.  This means you can keep fabric swatches, business cards or paperclips close at hand.

MarthaStewartHomeOffice_Basket_DownshiftingPRO_5I love Martha Stewart because every item compliments another item. So you have continuity and a clean, fresh look on your desk. Included are the Notebook, Journal and Notepad accessories. With lovely graphic patters in pale blue, red and black.  The journals are also available in brown & notebooks with polka dots.MarthaStewartHomeOffice_Basket_DownshiftingPRO_8

I highly recommend the Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery line of products. They are all good quality and unique in the marketplace.  There is nothing wrong with wanting things to look pretty but more importantly the line is so extensive that you will find just about everything that you need.  Remember, the MSHO line is available exclusively at STAPLES Canada and STAPLES US or on-line.

Disclosure: STAPLES Canada provided a basket full of Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery products for my review.  I did not receive any other compensation for this review.  I have chosen to give some of these products away in a giveaway. If you want more information about these products, please follow STAPLES Canada on Twitter, Like their Facebook Page or simply order on-line.

  1. The spice jars are great and I love how organized those office spaces look! I dream of a super organized office, however, I really just have a desk in the family room and nothing fancy.

  2. Okay, I did this with my jars and they got so filthy on the outside that the labels are covered in sauce. Too lazy to peel off and clean. Sigh…. Next year. I swear!
