London’s Merry Market is my favourite local Christmas Market. I have enjoyed both the outdoors Winter Village and indoor Twinkle Town for the past couple of years. The Distillery Winter Village
You can say many things about Toronto’s Historic Distillery District: it is busy and crowded, but is it family-friendly? There are plenty of reasons to go, but at the right time. Try to go during the day, during the week for less people and to attend for free! Go to The Distillery Winter Village to see the lighting of the massive Christmas tree (Nov. 13 at 6 pm).
While walking around, find all the Insta-worthy backdrops. Stop in one of the many restaurants or at one of the village’s food cabins, which serve yummy treats and boozy holiday drinks. Keep an eye out for Santa as he roams the cobblestone streets—another great photo opp.

As busy as it is, try to get in the late afternoon to avoid the evening crowds and see the beautifully lit alleys. This truly is one of the best Christmas Markets in Ontario.
Tickets are required for peak times, including: Opening Night; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 4:00 p.m.; Thursdays in December after 4:00 p.m.; and daily from December 15 – 31.
