I have recently been experimenting with videos. When I travel I tend to take a lot of pictures and a few videos.  I’ve learned to not be afraid of appearing on camera (though you will be hard pressed to see me take a selfie), speaking in front of a camera or on radio seems to be less intimidating for me.

I have been trying different apps and desktop programs but have found that the are not the easiest to use. I believe I need more practice.  I’ve started and finally finished two videos of places that I have visited and lived. I knew I did not get the chance to use enough of my photographs so instead of creating a simple slideshow I opted to create a video.

The first foray into video editing was my visit to the National September 11th Memorial and Museum in New York City. It was one of he most moving experiences I’ve had and I encourage you to take the time and visit.  It is a good 3 hour visit. Don’t rush through there is so much to take in.  I hope you like the video and be sure an subscribe.

The second video I worked on was a collaborative effort with my daughter. We took a walking tour of Street Art and Graffiti in Barcelona in 2015 as prt of the TBEX Costa Brava Conference.  We were hosted bt Tourism Barcelona and this was one of the highlights of our trip.

Once again faced with so many great image and ‘works of art’ we assembled a video. This walking tour was about 2-3 hours long and vey interesting because the guide took us throughout the old city of Barcelona.  There was both political and social impictions for this most contemporary art form.  You can read more about Lauren’s impressions of street art in Barcelona here.
