I’m just saying…Montreal is the greatest city in Canada

Sharing is caring!

pocIt is great to come ‘home’…

It is so good to be back in Montreal this week.  I am here attending the Professional Organizers in Canada (POC) National Conference.  It is wonderful to see old friends and meet new ones.  To be in a room of like-minded men and women that are looking to be a better organizer, a better business person or a better volunteer is “a good thing”…to quote THE ultimate professional organizer of all time!  It is very funny to see a group of us discussing what is the best way to organize someone’s desktop. Ah…the great feeling one gets from clearing off clutter…nirvana…o.k. I am digressing!

I was with Janice Kirwin and Kim Tremblay (two professional organizer from London) out for dinner at a Parisian Bistro – Restaurant Julien – last night.  The atmosphere was so very relaxed, the maitre d’ was charming and catering to our every need.  The food was wonderful.  I enjoyed a fabulous lobster & avocado salad (see below) and a gazpacho soup.  To top it off, we had a triple taste treat of Creme Brulee – Amaretto, Cointreau and Anise – yum, yum, yum.

It is amazing how much fun it is to be back in your hometown without dealing with the day-to-day stress of commuting, dealing with daily stress-lead minutia, waiting in line for a table on a work break or paying ridiculously high prices for houses.  This is the best of both worlds: being familiar with where I am going; knowing where I want to shop; eating in a BYOB restaurant and just ENJOYING the city in La Belle Province.
