Travel Thursday – Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, Ontario #Travel #Vacation

Sharing is caring!

Last weekend we were in Lakes of Wasaga have a fun time on the beach.  We also made a stop in Collingwood and finally in Blue Mountain.  This is a lovely area located north of Toronto on Georgian Bay.  It has spectacular sunsets, good restaurants and plenty of outdoor activities.  If you have never been make sure and take a trip to Bruce County.   We had a great time and I wanted to share a few pictures and short Instagram videos.  Enjoy!

This was the ‘half’ picnic table.  It looked so funny to me because you only had half a bench and half the table.  My daughter quickly pointed out that if you had a whole one then someone could sit in front of you and you’d miss the whole sunset… Oh… that’s the ticket…

This made me laugh because we were at Wasaga Beach and these people  had a full on dance party going on…. well at least they had the equipment: two turntables, two big speakers, tuner and their own generator to keep everything going.  It was too funny.

This Instagram post gives you a better idea where the beach was and the beautiful sunset.

Finally, you get to see the most beautiful flower arrangements that we found at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood.  What a wonderful place.  You really need to go.

  1. What beautiful sunsets! I’ve been to Collingwood a few times. When we were kids my mom would take us to The Candy Factory in Collingwood. Not sure if it’s still there though. Good memories!

    • I don’t remember seeing The Candy Factory but we were there in the evening so not walking around to see what there was. It was all rolled up for the evening.

  2. That’s really cool about the half picnic table. What a great concept. I bet a lot of people enjoy watching the sunsets there without having someone sitting in front of them.

  3. Looks like a gorgeous place! I’ve only been to Ontario a few times but I’d love to visit again. I should make a list of places to go if we make it there… 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  4. I love Canada. Eventhough I haven’t been there yet but I know that I would love to go there someday. And the sunset is soooo stunning and awesome. It was indeed a great travel experience.

  5. I’ve don’t think I’ve ever seen a half bench/table like this one before. I really like it. It looks like your family had an amazing trip – I miss vacationing in Canada…everyone was so nice up there….

  6. It sounds like a great adventure! I went to Wasaga beach for the first time two years ago.It was beautiful! I have never been to Blue Mountain. I really want to visit in Summer and Winter!
