Organizing Tip of the day

I am not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination but I really love this idea on how to make twine and string easily accessible.  The picture clearly shows that this is for gardening.

Don’t you think that you could do the same thing with simple ribbon?  You know the spools that you can find at craft stores or the dollar store.

So this would have been the perfect solution at Christmas when we had to do the wrapping.  Hubby and I could have used this solution at Christmas when we were wrapping the presents.  Oh, well…maybe I can still use it for my gardening…o.k. Pam…stop laughing…{if you know me, like my friend Pam knows me…I hate to garden}.

You can picture what I am saying,
can’t you?

So I find myself looking at different options and I thought I would share those with you too.

Use a paper towel holder to store all your spools, simple – Real Simple (magazine) actually! Stack large spools on the bottom and smaller ones on top and then tape end so they don’t unravel.

See below how> a simple and inexpensive way to store ribbons: thread spools through cafe style curtain rods and then take “S” hooks and hang them from plastic chain.  All can be purchased at your local hardware store.  Just to be clear, I don’t own this many spools of ribbon (I am an organizer after all) but if you did, this is a great way of keeping them organized.  You don’t always have to buy expensive tools to make an organizing idea come to life.
