In my quest to conquer the world of Pinterest, I have put together a few unique yet interesting boards to help my readers understand the diversity of Pinterest.
This #FavPinFriday is about different topics that you can follow and keep track of. Remember your boards do not have to have a common theme. They can be about anything that you find interesting or that you want to keep track of.

This week I created a story-board of Oprah’s Life Class. If you read my blog regularly, you know that last fall I was invited to LiveBlog (Tweet + Post on Facebook as the show was on…live…in front of millions of viewers). I absolutely loved the experience and hope to be able to see her again in season two. To help people catch up before the start of her second season, I decided to pin a short video of every LifeClass Lesson. I added the text directly from the Oprah.com website and pinned the video right from their page. They have conveniently placed a Pinterest button on each page. This is what the #OprahsLifeClass Season 1 board looks like:
I love this because you can go back for a little boast from Oprah’s #wisewords providing inspiration, affirmation and motivation. My second board is my guilty pleasure: its all about Trevor Linden – the retired captain of the Vancouver Canucks. I have a very teeny, tiny, crush on him….but that’s o.k. because I don’t think I will ever get to meet him in real life so my Pinterst board is just my ‘homage’ to him.
The most interesting part is that a hockey fan came to my board, commented on it and asked what Trevor was doing on Pinterest. Well, I said, I am a fan…is there anything wrong with that?…You can read the conversation going back and fourth. Interesting…Engagement….Chalk another one up for Social Media.
The last board is one I created to keep track of all those very cool Infographics that are being created these days. A lot of time, Infographics provided very precise information in an easy to understand format. My favourite one for the week was this one:
