She is 17 Years old and she is graduating from high school next week. As my readers continue on our journey from her prom to finding post secondary schools for my oldest daughter. She has made her final selection and will be attending the University of Ottawa in the fall and she is very excited about it. We are all very excited about it but there is so much to do before she moves into her dorm room in August.

We have to get her a few things because the comforts of home will not be at her disposal. There will be no big screen TV, no microwave, no stove or large fridge. She will have to do her laundry along with hundreds of other students living in residence.
Leaving home can be such and adjustment and I want to make sure that I get her something that she really needs. I have been thinking long and hard about what she can actually have in her room without breaking any fire codes and I know two thing that she will need is a mini-fridge and a kettle. They will let her have a hot cup of tea when she needs to relax and keep a few pops when she needs a pick me up.
The other thing that she needs is her own computer or tablet with a printer because she is going to be writing a lot of papers. Maybe she will need a TV for the little bit of down time that she will have….There are so many things…. She is moving out and this is just a small list of things that she might like. If there are any aunts, uncles or grandparents reading this post, you may want to take notice…
