NaBloPoMo is National Blog Posting Month on BlogHer
Join NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) on BlogHer.com this November by committing to post every single day this month!
I have heard about NaBloPoMo for years but have not participated. The idea of posting every.single.day is daunting to me. I do know that I want to post on a more frequent basis so this will be a bit of a kick-starter for me. How it works is every November, thousands of bloggers commit to posting daily. It is a way of creating greater community and connections with my fellow bloggers. It is not just about getting a post up every day. It is about challenging yourself. This happens every month so you can sign up here. But the month of November is when the big push is.

What Is NaBloPoMo?
NaBloPoMo was started in 2006 by Eden Kennedy, as a response to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and BlogHer began leading the charge in 2011. We now run NaBloPoMo writing challenges every month … but November still tends to be the “official” month, and it is unofficially HUGE.
If you are looking to connect with other bloggers, it is useful to connect with other’s that are participating in NaBloPoMo through the NabBloPoMo blogroll. Make sure to drop by and support other bloggers. This will create greater visibility and online opportunities. I am hoping to build my readership and subscriptions.
How to join in the fun
NaBloPoMo starts November 1 and runs until November 30. Just make the commitment to post on your own blog every day. It’s that simple.
To increase your exposure and participation, you should:
- Add your blog to the November NaBloPoMo blogroll
- Support other bloggers doing NaBloPoMo by reading a handful of the other blogs on the blogroll. Leave comments, share their posts (generally be a good community participant).
- You can also cross-post your blog posts onto the NaBloPoMo site for more exposure.
- If you need daily inspiration, bookmark the NaBloPoMo prompts. It will show all the prompts for the month posted so you can plan ahead.
Get the Badge
Lastly, you can grab the official badge here and upload a link to the badges you make.

What an interesting read! I actually clicked on a link of a fellow blogger that led me to blogher.com, and I committed from there to the challenge. While I haven’t linked every post on the blogroll, I do have a few on there. Sometimes, i just don’t think about going to that site.
I, also, am doing this, not only for the challenge, but to grow my readership and subscriptions — but more importantly, to build relationships with fellow bloggers of all niches.
I blog on http://walkinginmydestiny.com , mainly what I feel the Lord is speaking to me, but I have started something new — venturing into short story/flash fiction. Many of these have a biblical reference.
Anyway, I just wanted to say “hi” and let you know I dropped by.
God Bless!
