Organizing is about scheduling…we schedule our work week, our play, our doctors appointments…at least we should! So scheduling your monthly breast self-examination should be part of a routine. But you know, life gets in the way and sometimes we forget. So some very clever people in Toronto, decided that ‘we’ needed a friendly reminder and created an app for just that.
I was part of a twitter party this week and the interview was with Alison Gordon, head of marketing at a non-profit called: Rethink Breast Cancer. The discussion was centred around a video that was created to encourage women to self-screen for breast cancer. The campaign is geared towards the 20-something crowd but honestly I am happily in my forties and I probably get a bigger kick out of this then they do (mainly because 20-something men don’t cross my path much these days *wink*).
In a society that is constantly screaming: “Is there an App for that?” The savy people at Rethink Breast Cancer can say yes, there is a very clever app to remind you to self-screen.

What did you think? The thing is, it was so amusing and intelligent in its approach that I thought I had to share it with my readers (considering 95% of you are women…hey, don’t feel offended gents, breast cancer appears in men too.) So be sure and get the free app today.
