If you know anything at all about me and my blog, you know that I am a big, big, big fan of Emile Henry bake and cookware.  I have been a fan since my 30th birthday…. why? That is when I received my very first piece.

Emile Henry Risotto Pot
2013-01-02 003I received this beautiful piece of Emile Henry to use and review.  I had been coveting this risotto pot for years.  I wanted a large piece to be able to cook larger stewed dish. I love the idea of just putting it into a pot and letting it stew into wholesome goodness. I have smaller casserole dishes but i needed somthing that would hold a stew.  Although meant for rissotto, every Emile Henry piece that I own, most certainly has a dual purpose.

I have been serving family and friends in Emily for over 20 years.  I love it so much that I bought a set of Royal Dalton  dishes to match my serving pieces rather than but new ones.

Why is Emile Henry on my Holiday Gift Guide?

Consistently, without fail, you can count on Emile to be:

  1. Extremely easy to clean (my husband’s favourite feature)
  2. Sturdy and incredibly durable
  3. Lovely to like at as it comes in traditional and more modern urban styles
  4. The higest quality bakeware and cookware

Emile Henry Flame® ceramic answers your needs…
  • Our Flame® ceramic is the result of several years or research in our laboratory to find a material which is entirely natural and metal free, allowing slow, even cooking.
  • Today,  our Flame® ceramic guarantees healthy, flavourful cooking : the ingredients are not attacked by sudden differences in temperature and conserve all their vitamins and nutritional qualities. It also optimizes the distribution of the flavours and aromas thanks to the slow heat diffusion.
  • Finally, its capacity to retain the heat allows you to keep the food hot once cooking has finished. It also allows you to keep food cool once removed from the refrigerator.

  1. Oooh, I’ve been hearing more and more about how awesome ceramic is. Will definitely have to check out Emile Henry – especially for the easy to clean part! I hate it when my dishes (especially pots) are really hard to clean up, and need to soak for an hour or something. 🙂

  2. I was at the Bay this week looking at the whole collection, I really want the tagine. It is one my WISH list. Enjoy the new addition to your kitchen.

    • I love that tangine but must admit it is not in my collection. I am not sure how much use I would get. I am using my Risotto pot almost once a week. Need to blog more about it! Thanks for dropping by!
