I cannot tell you how excited I am about reviewing neatfreak! Heavy Duty Laundry Sorter. First of all I have to back up and give you the load down on how I came to this point. I was speaking at my Annual National POC Conference in November and was visiting the vendor expo when I came across the neatfreak! display.

So, I ask the neatfreak! rep. if I can get one to review and blog about and possibly give away one to one of my readers. [We will see if I can still negotiate that but I will keep you posted.] I tell her I constantly recommend this product to clients when they can find it in stock at Costco. I did mention this was one of my big beefs. I would appreciate having this available all year around not just at certain times of the year. She informs me that that’ s Costco’s choice not theirs. So…work on that will you Costco?
I finally get the package and I decided I need some help to put it together so I enlist the help of my 9 year old son. He is pretty addicted to video games and building elaborate train sets but he was willing to humour his mother on this project. Little did I know how much he would enjoy this…
I asked for his assistance because I wanted you to see how easy it was to assemble. Here are all the pieces laid out. Nicely wrapped and well labeled. We carefully laid out all the pieces, looked at the pictorial instructions and started. We screwed the posts into the frame. [Tip to NeatFreak! Can you not glue the black spacer to the post? Having to manipulate the screw, the spacer and keep the posts aligned was a bit fiddly. ] Lastly, we added the wheels. Very nice touch – good that they have brakes on them.
Otherwise, you can see how easy it was to put together the system. All you really needed was a screw driver. However my son thought it would be good to have a level, a measuring tape and a hammer…not needed but good to have…just in case. 
In a few minutes we assembled this beautiful laundry sorter that sits ‘blissfully’ in the master bathroom. Seriously, isn’t it gorgeous? I love the wheels. So much easier to move around when you are cleaning the bathroom floor. I saw on the website that they have an model with an ironing board on top – that would be perfect for my sister. She loves to iron in her bedroom. [Don’t ask, she’s been doing it for years].

The attention to detail (like having the baskets pitch forward makes it easier so clothes don’t fall behind the sorter. Having rubberized handles reduces the noise created when the bags move around – NICE.) Make sure to get this amazing product from neatfreak! because it is one of my favourite organizing things. |

I purchased this same item and it broke within a month. I contacted Neatfreak and they said they would look into sending a replacement but 6 months later I haven’t heard from them! I don’t think they stand behind there products and they don’t seem to last.

Re: Costco: I do know that it is them that decides when they carry a product not the supplier. I asked last week and they told me to expect something from Neat Freak in late spring.

Love it, but this obsessive compulsive organizer has one issue with the product….No lid or cover. I have no interest in looking down inside a dirty laundry hamper nor would I want any passers by to be peering in either.
Please share with the manufacturer that they ‘almost’ got it right.
I saw this at a Costco while I was out of town on business. I would have bought it right then and there, except for the fact that I would not have had room to bring it on the plane with me and unfortunately the closest Costco to where I live is 8 hours away. I have since had friends and relatives look at their local Costco’s for this so that they could bring it back to me the next time they came to town, however we’ve had no luck finding it again. I have tried and looked at other sorters, but I love the look and the studyness of this one.
If anyone knows of any other retailers that sell this particular model, I’d love to hear who they are!
I love how sturdy thislooks! The one we are using is all wiggly now and the canvas is torn.
